Hi, I’m Andrew from Designer Furniture Warehouse. I am sitting in the Enterprise Sectional from Catnapper and this is a really big sectional. The sectional has 2 recliners and a pushback chaise. The seat where I’m sitting reclines and it has storage and cup holders on both the left and the right. The inside recliner has a hidden release, similar to a parachute pull. You reach down inside the cushion and pull up on the handle and then the recliner goes all the way back. It is very comfortable. The Chenille fabric has a soft, luxurious feel with a lot of padding. To give you a sense of scale I’m about 6 foot tall, and it fits me well and is very comfortable. If you have a big room, or you’re entertaining guests, it really does the job.  The end of the sectional has an oversized chaise that also reclines. In many sectionals of this size, the chaise would be a stationary chair.  When you pull the lever the back reclines and you can take a Sunday afternoon nap, right here.

Innerspring Seat Cushions.

There is another thing you need to remember about Catnapper which sets them apart from some other products on the market. When you examine the seat cushions you can feel that there is spring inside the seat cushion, rather than just a solid slab of foam.  Each one of these seats has an individual spring unit, to give you extra support and extra longevity to your product. Mattress Buying Tips: Innerspring vs. Pocketed Coil Mattresses

What is the difference between a pocketed coil and a traditional innerspring mattress?
The short video below gives a comparison of different mattress construction.

Hi I am Andrew from Designer Furniture Warehouse and today we are gonna talk about the difference between a traditional innerspring mattress and a pocketed coil mattress. If you notice the support on a traditional innerspring bed is a wired tied coil. Each coil inside the mattress is tied together with a helical steel wire. When you put your weight on the mattress the spring  transfers the weight across the bed.

Pocketed Coil Mattress

In a pocketed coil mattress, similar to those produced by Simmons Beautyrest, you will see that each coil is individually pocketed in a fabric sleeve. When you put your weight down on this type of mattress it offers more individualized support to the various areas of your back. As you are laying on the mattress you will notice that the heavier portions your hips and your shoulder will sink further and provide more lift in the center of you torso.

Foam Encased Mattress Edge

The perimeter of many beds are reinforced with a foam edge. This gives you a greater sleeping surface. As you move toward the edge of the bed you have more support. If you are sitting on the edge of the bed it gives you a greater sleeping surface. Some Manufacturers strengthen the edge of the bed with a higher gauge or steel to give you more support and more lift and make the bed last longer over time.

That’s our Mattress Tip for the day.

What is Foursquare? Am I missing Something?

Foursquare is a location-based mobile app for your smartphone that lets you “check-in” at various locations. Example: Restuarants, Bars, parks, stores etc. Search for deals nearby or explore for fun activities. You can also “share” your location with friends and ask them to meet you, and you can earn BADGES or become the MAYOR of locations, and earn points and maybe even discounts. Watch the 2 Min video below for more information.

Who is using Foursquare?

As of June 2011, the company reported 10 million registered users with an average of about 3 million check-ins per day.

What are Badges on Foursquare?

Badges are little rewards you earn based on your check in habits (for example, frequenting too many karaoke bars, eating lots of pizza, taking your kids to the playground). Foursquare constantly adding new badges, for palaces and activities. You can also unlock partner badges by FOLLOWING certain brands on foursquare? If you follow partner pages, you will be able to see their expert tips on relevant venues and maybe even special discounts or offers.

Why should I want to be the Mayor on Foursquare?

If a user has checked-in to a venue on more days than anyone else in the past 60 days, the check-ins are valid under foursquare’s time and distance protocols, and they have a profile photo, they will be crowned “Mayor” of that venue, until someone else earns the title by checking in more times than the previous mayor. Mayor’s at some establishments are qualified for special Discounts or offers.

How do I get started on Foursquare?

Download the app to your smartphone (http://foursquare.com/apps/) and start checking in where ever you go.
